Our story

AMOF® was founded in 1994 as a startup providing background screening services to Silicon Valley companies. Over the years, the company and its technology grew to serve clients of all sizes, from healthcare to manufacturing and everything in between.

AMOF was a founding member of the National Association of Professional Background Screeners (NAPBS), now the Professional Background Screening Association (PBSA). That heritage shows in how our team approaches its obligations under the FCRA and applicable state and city requirements, and in staying current on industry reporting standards.

In February 2020, Enzio acquired A Matter of Fact®, expanding our services and levels of support to an even greater depth than before.
